a bit about me

It "only" took me 30 years to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I've always loved art, but it didn't seem realistic to expect to make a living that way. When I started hearing about graphic design, it was from people who had gotten a degree and not ended up using it, which wasn't very encouraging. Having been a fitness trainer, I thought I didn't like being self-employed. (Taking responsability for someone else's weight loss goal when I only had them for a couple hours a week was maddening.) What I realize now is that I like freelancing when it's something I enjoy...and have complete control over. I want to be the best graphic designer I can be and it's exciting to know that if I apply myself the sky is the limit.

Part of what I like about design is that even though a degree is helpful it's really more about doing exceptional work. For that reason, I've decided to begin my freelance career while I'm still in school. I'm enjoying working with customers as I continue learning and offering them my skills at a reduced price. I genuinely love what I do and can't wait to work with you!

Sincerely,

Rebecca Forbes
